Surprising to many buyers, there are new construction homes that are as affordable as their more established counterparts. Which makes one wonder what the difference is if the price point is the same.
Probably the two largest differences are:

1) Warranties. While any home buyer can purchase a home warranty to cover systems and applications, most new homes have both a builder’s warranty plus brand new appliances and systems and roofs.
2) Landscaping. When you buy an established home the landscape is usually already in place. With a brand new home, the creativity and self-expression is all yours…as is the cost.
One thing’s for sure though, that new-home smell and feel lasts a good long time.
