Port Angeles
Home of the award winning Symphony, the International Airport, the Victoria Ferries, the Community College, the local hospital, and host to dozens of cultural events throughout the year, Port Angeles is a rural hub of activity.
Port Angeles boasts many of the conveniences that larger communities offer including large grocery stores, a beautiful modern library, public & private schools, a downtown shopping area featuring with Department Store shopping and blocks and blocks of restaurants, hideaways, and boutiques.
When it comes to homesites, one could live on a waterfront parcel right up against the shore or in the heart of the hills adjoining the National Park – or anywhere in between. Port Angeles has beautiful lakefront and riverfront property plus parcels of pasture and completely hidden forest hideaways – the options are almost endless.
Whatever your interest, look in Port Angeles – the Port Angeles Opera Association, 4-H organizations, the Fine Arts Center, the bustling Senior Center, bowling leagues, hiking clubs, and really fine espresso – Port Angeles has it all.
Sequim
If you love Lavender, Elk, and the bluest skies around, then Sequim is the place for you.
In addition to a beautiful setting of mountains, pastures, and beaches, Sequim has a large boat marina, hiking trails, wineries, the Olympic Game Farm, and enough lavender fields to make everything smell springier.
Locals appreciate Sequim for its convenience to Seattle (about 2 hours by car), its quaint downtown area, the Dungeness Spit, Costco, a fabulous organic farm, the Seven Cedars Casino, and the Sequim Aquatic and Recreation Center which hustles and bustles with water aerobics, a weight room, and treadmills aplenty for your exercise needs.
Sequim also has several retirement and semi-retirement communities and programs, public & private schools, abundant shopping, a farmers market on weekends, and a couple of day spas.
Sequim also boasts an active social calendar with musical performances, community plays, and annual festivals like the Sequim Irrigation Festival topped off with an elaborate parade through downtown Sequim plus the Lavender Festival.
